Terms of Service

By creating an account, using guest mode, or otherwise accessing the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

Tasklap lets you create tasks, track time spent on them across one or more sessions, and optionally use AI-powered task splitting to break large tasks into smaller subtasks. You can use Tasklap as a guest, with data stored only in your browser, or sign in — by email and password, or with Google OAuth — to sync your data across devices.

Tasklap offers a free tier and a paid Pro tier:

• Free — unlimited tasks and timers, guest mode, 30-day session history, and basic session tracking, at no cost.
• Pro — $4/month or $36/year, including everything in Free plus unlimited history, AI task splitting, projects & categories, CSV export, and a weekly email digest.

We may change the features included in each tier over time; if we reduce what's included in Pro, we'll give you reasonable notice.

Pro tier subscriptions will be billed through our payment processor, Stripe, once billing is enabled. By subscribing to Pro, you authorize us to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on your selection) until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your account settings; cancellation stops future billing but does not retroactively refund the current billing period unless required by law.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service or its AI features in a way that disrupts it for others
• Use automated means to create accounts or generate excessive load on the Service
• Resell or redistribute the Service without our permission

Tasklap, its branding, design, and underlying code are owned by us. You retain full ownership of the task content you create. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and process that content solely to provide the Service to you — for example, sending a task title to our AI provider when you use task splitting.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that AI-generated suggestions (such as split subtasks) will always be accurate or useful.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tasklap and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You may stop using Tasklap and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, or discontinue the Service (or parts of it) at our discretion, with reasonable notice where practical.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
